中国古脊椎动物志奇蹄目（2018）

本册内容包括了奇蹄类进化和奇蹄目动物系统记述两个部分。奇蹄类进化部分包括奇蹄目的起源和分类的基本框架。简要而又全面地概述了奇蹄类动物的演化和发展。尤其分类框架部分列举了不同时期学者的各类观点，在介绍奇蹄类本身的同时也不失为奇蹄类研究历史。
系统记述部分包括了截至2018年6月材料产于中国境内，在国内外学术期刊已发表的的122属309种，分属于马形亚目（马超科和已灭绝的雷兽超科）、角形亚目（貘超科和犀超科）和已灭绝的爪兽亚目（始爪兽科和爪兽科）。每个模式种均附有图片，对一些存有争议的高阶分类单元进行了概要评述。志书还提供了较完整的最新参考文献。
本书是我国凡涉及地学、生物学、考古学的大专院校、科研机构、博物馆有关科研人员及业余古生物爱好者的基础参考书，也可为科普创作提供必要的基础参考资料。

This volume covers two main sections: the evolution of Perissodactyla and the systematic account of perissodactyls. The evolution section covers the basic framework of the origin and classification of Perissodactyla, providing a concise yet comprehensive overview of the evolutionary history and development of perissodactyls. Notably, the classification framework section enumerates various viewpoints proposed by scholars across different periods, which not only introduces perissodactyls themselves but also serves as a retrospective of the research history of perissodactyl studies.

The systematic account section includes 122 genera and 309 species published in domestic and international academic journals, with all materials collected from within China as of June 2018. These taxa are classified into three suborders: Hippomorpha (comprising Equoidea and the extinct Brontotheroidea), Ceratomorpha (comprising Tapiroidea and Rhinocerotoidea), and the extinct Ancylopoda (comprising Eomoropidae and Chalicotheriidae). Each type species is accompanied by illustrations, and a brief commentary is provided for some controversial higher-level taxa. This volume also provides a relatively comprehensive set of the latest references.

This book functions as a foundational reference for researchers and amateur paleontology enthusiasts from colleges and universities, research institutions and museums engaged in geosciences, biology and archaeology in China, and can also supply necessary basic reference materials for science popularization creation.
