Into the Wild dataset

We collected a novel dataset to study audiovisual associations encountered during hiking (Figure 4). The collected sounds are associated with seasonal changes, rainfall, animal vocalizations, and footsteps. We obtained 94 untrimmed egocentric videos from YouTube, with durations ranging from 1.5 minutes to 130 minutes, totaling 50 hours. We selected videos that only contain naturally occurring sounds within the scene, e.g., no background music. For further details about this dataset, please refer to Appendix A.1
