In a practice run and to test the new hospital heliport, believed to be the first in the country, a 'patient' was rushed from the aircraft on a hospital gurney, down a ramp, then an elevator to the first floor emergency rooms. 'Patient' for test: Bob Hromadka. 75/76/79/80: Views of test of new heliport on roof of the Santa Monica Hospital, believed to be the first in the country. Pilot is Douglas Aircraft Company's Alto Furlong. California Ambulance attendants are Robert Parrick and Donald Chase. Doctor is (in white uniform): Dr. John Hromadka, chief of staff, S.M. Hospital.
