Gel Permeation Chromatography-Size Exclusion Chromatography measurements of poly(lactic acid) samples
收藏资源简介:
The dataset includes results of Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)-Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) measurements of various poly(lactic acid) (PLA) samples perfomermed in two solvents: dimethylformamide (DMF) and tetrahydrofuran (THF). The measurements were done in Centro de Física de Materiales (CSIC-UPV/EHU) in San Sebastián/Donostia in Spain. The technical details about the measurements are summarized in the corresponding directories in *_parameters.pdf files. Two methods were used for the quantification of the mean value of the molecular weight: calibration to polystyrene standards and a method using the refraction index increment (dn/dc). In the latter case, equipment software was used which assumes that the entire mass of the sample reached the detector. The results of both methods are summarized in tables directory and are labelled correspondingly. The labelling of the samples is as follows: LL_Mw_solvent - low molecular weight samples of PLLA stereoisomer synthesized in University of Cádiz, containing predominantly L-monomers. Mw denotes the molecular weight estimated by the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. PDLA_25k_solvent and PDLA_50k_solvent -low molecular weight samples of PDLA stereoisomer synthesized in University of Cádiz, containing predominantly D-monomers. 25k and 50k denotes the molecular weight estimated by the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. PDLA_100k_solvent -commercial sample PLA3D850. The rheological properties as well as the technical sheet for this sample can be found elsewhere.[1,2] DL_Mw_solvent-copolymers with approximately equal parts of both, L and D, types of monomers. Samples with Mw=10k, 25k and 50k were synthesized in University of Cádiz and their molecular weight was estimated by the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. DL_50k_DMF measurement was repeated twice (i.e., the second attempt carries _2 label). DL_15k_solvent-copolymer sample purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (805734). GPC of this sample was also measured by different equipment and the results are publicly available.[3] [1] Bacova, P., Peponaki, K., & Vlassopoulos, D. (2025).
