Bacterial blight, caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), is a devastating rice disease worldwide. Rice introgression line H471, derived from recurrent parent Huang-Hua-Zhan (HHZ) and PSBRC28, exihibits a broad-spectrum resistance to Xoo. To gain insight into the response of rice to Xoo-infection, comparative proteomic profiles of host and pathogen in the incompatible (H471 and a highly virulent Xoo strain PXO99A) and compatible interaction ((HHZ and PXO99A) were investigated.
