This dataset comprises colony-forming unit counts of microbiota isolated from zebrafish larvae that had been exposed to silver nanoparticles, silver ions, zinc oxide nanoparticles, and zinc ions in acute toxicity tests.<br>Details of this experiment have been published in <i>Nanotoxicology</i>: <br>Brinkmann BW, Koch BEV, Spaink HP, Peijnenburg WJGM, and Vijver MG, 2020. Doi: 10.1080/17435390.2020.1755469<br>The four parameters of the dataset are:- <i>Compound</i>. The compound that the zebrafish larvae had been exposed to in the acute toxicity test, including: nAg, silver nanoparticles (0.25 mg Ag/L); Ag<sup>+</sup>, silver ions (0.025 mg Ag/L); nZnO, zinc oxide nanoparticles (2.5 mg ZnO/L); and Zn<sup>2+</sup>, zinc ions (2.5 mg Zn<sup>2+</sup>/L). - <i>Date.</i> The date at which microbiota were isolated.<br>- <i>DilutionFactor. </i>The dilution factor resulting in the highest number of countable colonies below 200, that was used to derive the colony-forming unit count per larvae.- <i>CFU_Larvae. </i>The number of colony-forming units isolated per larvae. <br>This dataset has been saved in a tab-delimited text file format.
