They performed 16S rRNA sequencing of the gut microbiome on experimental groups to determine the microbial profiles of mBSA-induced Delayed type hypersensitivity mice and those treated with TCDD or FICZ. Experimental groups consisted of PBS+CON, mBSA+Vehicle, mBSA+TCDD and mBSA+FICZ mice. Genomic DNA was isolated from colonic flushes from each group (n=3 per group) and sequencing performed on the V3-V4 16S rRNA regions using Illumina MiSeq platform to determine gut microbial profiles.
