This isolate of Rhodanobacter was collected from soil samples spiked with high concentrations of silver nanoparticles. It was the dominant microorganism present in the spiked samples as determined by 16S sequencing and metagenomic shotgun sequencing. The assembly contains several operons with known metal stress response genes (e.g., cusA, the mer genes).
