Single-cell RNA sequencing of rolled leaf of peanut

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea; Leguminosae), is one of the top five global oilseed crops, holding a significant position in global oilseed production and trade. In our earlier study, we obtained a stable leaf-rolling mutant “lce1” using 60Co-γ radiation. In addition to leaf-rolling, petioles, pegs, flower stalks and roots were all curving. The plant height of lce1 were significantly lower than those of FH1 (FengHua 1, the female parent), and a smaller pod than FH1. This study intends to use the leaves of lce1 and FH1 as materials for comparative transcriptomics analysis using scRNA-seq method, to identify the gene controlling the leaf rolling trait, so as to provide some theoretical support for peanut breeding.
