Rebel Attacks in Mines Dataset v 1.0

The Rebel Attacks on Mines Dataset contains 189 events of identified and verified incursions by rebel groups into mining facilities or mines, as well as direct attacks on mining personnel. The dataset includes numerous variables indicating the source of data, geographic and geologic information of the attacked mines, number of individual injured, equipment damages, site development status and estimated value (when available), company (when available), and rebel group (when available). The dataset is a work in progress, and version 1 includes all entries identified using LexisNexis search functions, with extensive and careful verification of each entry.
