资源简介:
The Philippine flying lemur (Cynocephalus volans), known locally as kagwang, inhabits the Philipines, although it is not a lemur and does not fly, but instead glides among trees. It belongs to a group of species most closely related to treeshrews and primates (modified from Wikipedia entry). This genome is from a male collected by Paul D. Helderman, stored at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, and coordinated by Felix Grewe and Adam W. Ferguson from the Field Museum in Chicago, to generate a high-quality reference for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, lead by Olivier Fedrigo and Erich D. Jarvis.
