Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired near the Rodrigues Triple Junction along the Central Indian Ridge Spreading Center during the Knorr expedition KN162-13 (2001)

This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Knorr expedition KN162-13 conducted in 2001 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Cindy VanDover). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Species Composition and Biodiversity in Mussel Bed Communities of Deep-Sea Hydrothermal Vents, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE98-18550.
