Bronchial brushing RNA-seq from cystic fibrosis patients. Homo sapiens

Bronchial brushings were obtained from the fourth- to sixth-generation airways from patients with cystic fibrosis during clinical exacerbation and placed directly immediately into Qiagen RLT plus buffer during the bronchoscopy to ensure minimal RNA degradation. Samples were then stored at −80°C until RNA isolation using Qiagen RNeasy isolation kit. RNA quantity and integrity were determined by Agilent followed by RNA sequencing using the Illumina platform.
