We performed a plate-based scRNA-seq (Smart-seq3) on laryngeal tuft cells of mice to study rare sensory epithelial cells that synapse with afferent nerves. Such epithelial cells include subsets of POU2F3+ chemosensory cells (PCCs) in various organs. This study represents transcriptome analysis of the mouse laryngeal PCCs and provide new insights into airway protective chemoreflexes.
