<b>Data associated with: Geographic variation in compensation to damage in common milkweed (</b><b><i>Asclepias syriaca</i></b><b>)</b>

This dataset is from a study of geographic variation in compensation to herbivory in common milkweed, <i>Asclepias syriaca</i>. Common milkweed seeds from 16 genetic families collected from 14 sites were grown, exposed to 25% mechanical leaf damage, and allowed two weeks to recover. A variety of growth traits were measured including total biomass, root:shoot ratios, stem investment, and relative growth rate.
