Soil and root bacterial community in Eucalyptus plantation in Bahia Brazil

This study investigates whether EPD is linked to alterations in the bacterial community composition by comparing the soil and root bacteriomes of healthy and diseased Eucalyptus trees. We sampled eight production areas in Bahia, Brazil, representing both EPD-affected and unaffected plots. Bacterial community structures were assessed using 16S rRNA gene metabarcoding, alongside comprehensive chemical characterization of soil and plant tissues to discern potential interactions among these factors.
