The February 2021 Chamoli disaster in Uttarakhand, India, triggered by a massive ice-rock avalanche in the Rishiganga Valley, highlighted the complex interaction between glacial hazards and Himalayan river systems. This multi-temporal digital elevation models (DEMs) derived from high-resolution UAV-LiDAR and enable quantification of short-term geomorphic response of the Rishi Ganga river channel in response to the ice-rocke avalanche event.
