Repeated recruitment is dominant source od adaptive variation in polyploid Arabidopsis arenosa

We resequenced 78 individuals of autotetraploid Arabidopsis arenosa to demonstrate parallel adaptation to toxic serpentine soils. We showed that the majority of alleles, exhibiting the strongest parallel selection, was sampled from a shared pool of variants. Further, we found a smaller subset of alleles generated de novo.
