WGS sequencing. Cryptococcus deuterogattii R265

The Broad Institute sequenced the Cryptococcus gattii VGII molecular type R265 (aka Cryptococcus neoformans var. gattii R265 or Cryptococcus neoformans R265, serotype B) genome at 6X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing. They generated a Cryptococcus gattii R265 genome assembly consisting of 701 contigs placed into 28 scaffolds. The assembly represents approximately 85.8% of the genome; it excludes ribosomal RNA genes and very highly conserved repetitive sequence. The Cryptococcus gattii R265 genome assembly is undergoing automated annotation.
