The role of estrogen in chicken hierarchical follicular theca cells

In poultry, estrogen mainly secreted by follicular theca cells affects reproductive function. It is a steroid related hormone that promotes granulosa cell proliferation, follicular development, and maturation. However, its specific mechanism of action in chicken follicular theca cells is not fully understood. Therefore, we performed transcriptome sequencing on theca cells before and after estrogen treatment, and identified genes that respond to estrogen signaling. This experiment is of great significance in exploring the role of estrogen in regulating follicular development.
