During the summer of 2022, we successfully collected D. suzukii individuals from the Research Development Institute for Plant Protection (ICDPP). Starting from those individuals, we stabilized the ICDPP-ams-1 line, which after a year of Drosophila Laboratory husbandry is expected to nearly meet the criteria of isogenic lines that harbor a homogenous genomic background. In December 2023 we made use of ONT sequencing and employed a MinION device in concert with the Ligation Sequencing Kit V14 methodology (along with the corresponding NEBNext-Companion Module for ONT) and R10.4.1 flow cells. Super accurate (sup) base-calling model of POD5 sequencing output was performed with Dorado and FASTQ files were generated and then assembled with Canu 2.2.
