All establishments in Japan on the date of the census falling into JSIC Division G: Wholesale and Retail Trade, except the following:
1. Establishments belonging to the national government or to public or government corporations.
2. Road-side stalls, food stalls, street vendors, etc.
3. Stalls in the precincts of shrines, in parks or squares.
4. Hawkers and peddlers.
5. Shops within theaters, cinemas, baseball stadiums, on station platforms, etc.
6. Shops within government offices, schools, companies, factories, hospitals, etc.

在日本普查之日，所有归属于JSIC分类G组——批发与零售业的经营实体均被纳入本数据集，但以下情况除外：1. 国家政府或公共及政府企业所属的经营实体；2. 路边摊位、食品摊位、街头小贩等；3. 神社院内、公园或广场内的摊位；4. 摆地摊者与小贩；5. 位于剧院、电影院、棒球场、车站平台等场所的商店；6. 位于政府机关、学校、公司、工厂、医院等场所的商店。
