This study dataset conducted a local-scale investigation of microbiome and virome in mudflat intertidal zones in 2020, to understand the biodiversity, functional potential, and ecology mechanisms of microbial and viral communities in intertidal sediments. The intertidal sediment samples were collected from Qingdao of China.
