Poly-A selected mRNA-seq was performed on HEK293 cells stably expressing either shRNA targeting STUB1 (shSTUB1 / shCHIP) or non-targeting control shRNA (shCTL). Biological triplicates were collected under basal conditions (37°C) and after acute heat shock (42°C for 30 minutes) to investigate the role of the STUB1/CHIP co-chaperone/E3 ligase in the cellular heat-shock response and proteostasis. This dataset supports the RNA-seq component of the study examining biochemical and clinical implications of STUB1 mutations in spinocerebellar ataxia type 48 (SCA48). Overall design: 12 samples total: 4 experimental conditions (shControl 37°C, shControl 42°C 30 min, shSTUB1 37°C, shSTUB1 42°C 30 min) à 3 independent biological replicates. Libraries were multiplexed (6-plex per lane) and sequenced single-end 50 bp on an Illumina HiSeq 2500.
