The study focuses on the analysis of the Exon sequence raw data from the Oligo-Tiller 2 (ot2) mutant, obtained through next-generation sequencing (NGS). The ot2 mutant, which was induced by ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) treatment, exhibits a significant reduction in tiller number (91%) and shows inhibited tiller bud differentiation starting from the seedling stage. The goal of this research is to identify the genetic factors underlying these phenotypic changes by analyzing the sequencing data, specifically focusing on exon regions that may contribute to the observed alterations in tillering. This study is crucial for understanding the genetic mechanisms that regulate tiller development in wheat, which has significant implications for improving crop yield and adaptability through genetic interventions.
