The leduin program is a 14-week Instagram-based intervention designed to foster essential life skills and promote functional social media use among adolescents. It leverages Instagram’s interactive features—such as polls, quizzes, question stickers, and challenges—to engage participants in daily content aligned with their digital habits. The program combines evidence-based prevention principles with youth-centered co-design to ensure relevance and engagement. In this pilot study, leduin was evaluated using a mixed-methods approach: quantitative analysis of platform engagement metrics (including story views, retention rates, and interaction with Instagram features) alongside qualitative interviews to explore participant experiences and the program’s impact. Findings demonstrated sustained viewer interest and high acceptability, with key engagement insights guiding future digital health interventions. The program illustrates the feasibility of using Instagram for delivering complex social and psychological interventions to adolescents.
