In this study, as an example of high-strength oily wastewater, treatment of Ramen noodle-soup wastewater was investigated by using membrane bioreactor (MBR), which combines biodegradation and membrane filtration. The goal of this study was to know the limit of membrane performance toward oil concentration as well as to presume the sludge microbiome related to oil degradation.
