Madeiras históricas do Brasil (1994-2025)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset compiles the most comprehensive and systematized national survey to date on the cultural use of wood in Brazil, based on 64 scientific publications from 1994 to 2025. The matrix integrates information on botanical identification (family, genus, species), historical artifacts (type, cultural use, date, and provenance), ecological and biogeographical data (biomes, regions, states), and institutional metadata (authors, year, type of publication, research institutions). A total of 164 species from 40 botanical families are represented across 14 cultural use categories, including architecture, sacred statuary, furniture, and traditional watercraft. The dataset highlights geographic asymmetries in research production, the concentration of certain taxa in cultural artifacts, and gaps in documentation across Brazilian biomes. Designed to support interdisciplinary studies, this matrix is a valuable resource for researchers in botany, archaeology, conservation, anthropology, and heritage studies, contributing to the global effort to document, preserve, and understand wooden cultural heritage.
