Datasets for: New Perspectives in Process Development: Integrating Logistics Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Methods

This repository contains the datasets supporting the manuscript "New Perspectives in Process Development: Integrating Logistics Simulation and Artificial Intelligence Methods". The repository includes the complete results of 72,000 discrete-event simulation experiments generated using the Experiment Manager object of Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, together with the 8,000-record neural network training dataset derived from these simulation results. The training dataset was generated by selecting, for each unique combination of input variables, the simulation run with the minimum production lead time. If two or more simulation runs produced the same minimum production lead time, the solution with the smaller number of heat treatment baskets was selected. The repository also contains a README file describing the datasets and the variables included. These datasets are provided to support the reproducibility of the simulation experiments and the neural network training procedure described in the associated manuscript.
