ATKIS — Basic DLM

Digital Basic Landscape Model (Base DLM) The basic DLM describes the topographical objects of the landscape and the relief of the earth’s surface in vector format. The objects are defined by their spatial location, geometric type, descriptive attributes and relationships with other objects (relations). Each object has a unique identification number throughout Germany (identifier). The spatial location is specified for the base DLM regardless of scale and image in the coordinate system of the country survey.Which object types that DLM contains and how the objects are to be formed is defined in the ATKIS object type catalog (ATKIS®-OK).
