The LCTSC — Lung CT Segmentation Challenge 2017 (AAPM) dataset is a medical imaging dataset focused on lung CT segmentation, containing 60 thoracic CT cases for the automatic segmentation of five organs at risk (OARs) in radiation treatment planning. The dataset is divided into a training set (36 cases), an off-site test set (12 cases), and an online test set (12 cases). Each case includes one CT series (approximately 140 slices, 512×512 resolution) and one DICOM RTSTRUCT file (approximately 2MB) for marking the contours of five OARs (esophagus, heart, left lung, right lung, and spinal cord). The data originates from three institutions (MD Anderson, MSKCC, MAASTRO), with case IDs encoding the institution information. The dataset is released under the CC BY 3.0 license and requires citation of the original publications and TCIA when used.
