Infinium Methylation 450 K was used to profile the epigenetic differences in 24 children between two timepoints: 12 months (baseline group) and 24 months and to elucidate the methylation differences between 12 high and 12 low PCV-13 booster vaccine responders, in order to identify pathways that show significant changes over time and those that are associated with a more robust immune response. DNA was extracted from blood clots collected from 24 participants at 12 and 24 months of age. The treated DNA was hybridized to the Illumina Infinium Methylation450K BeadChip
