This datasets contain the 𝛅11B and B/Ca determinations of three modern Porites corals and four ancient Porites collected from the east coast of Hainan Island in the northern South China Sea. The measurements of skeletal boron isotopes were carried out with a MC-ICP-MS, and the B/Ca was determined by ICP-MS.
