Small RNA populations reflect the the complex dialogue established between heterograft partners in grapevine

In the present study, we have investigated the small RNA profiles in the homograft of Vitis vinifera cv. Cabernet Sauvignon (CS) and in two heterografts Vitis vinifera cv. Cabernet Sauvignon (CS) grafted on the commercial rootstock Vitis riparia cv Gloire de Montpellier (RGM) or onto the Vitis berlandieri x Vitis rupestris hybrid cv. 1103 Paulsen (1103P). We take advantage of the sequence differences in the genomes of heterograft partners to analyse the possible exchange of small RNAs.
