Cells encountering DNA replication stress often fail to fully replicate their genome prior to mitotic entry, which leads to genomic instability at specific genomic loci, the so-called common fragile sites(CFSs). Mitotic DNA synthesis (MiDAS) is a DNA repair pathway used by the cells in early mitosis to complete the duplication of unreplicated genomic sites. Here, we used high-throughput sequencing in order to map sites of MiDAS at high resolution, genome-wide, in three different cell lines treated with aphidicolin.
