Munsha’ât-i-Mullâ Ṭughrâ (منشآت ملّا طغرا).

An extensive collection of Ṭughrâ’s refined prose-writings, containing the following eighteen treatises:

I.فردوسيّه, on fol. 1b (I in the preceding copy).

Ii.تاج المدائح, on fol.25b (II in the preceding copy), beginning: سرخ روئئ قلم بنگارش الخ.

III.الهاميّه, on fol.41a (III in the preceding copy).

IV.جوش بلبل, on fol.56b (X in the preceding copy).

V.كنز المعانى, on fol. 61a (VI in the preceding copy).

VI.مرآت الفتوح, on fol. 67a (IV in the preceding copy).

XI. Khamsa-i-ḍurûriyyah (خمسۀ ضروريّه ), ‘the needful quintet,’ or as it is called in Rieu, No. XIII, خمسۀ ناقصه, ‘the defective quintet,’ an attack directed upon five persons in the court of Gulkundah (not found in the preceding copy), on fol. 104b, beginning: آزرده ام از ديدن بيدردى چند الخ.

XII. I’lâmiyyah (اعلاميّه), ‘notification,’ addressed to Yûlćîkhân, son of Âḳâkhân, identical with the مرآت العيوب, or ‘mirror of blemishes,’ in Rieu, No. XIV, where it is described as a satire on Pûlćîkhân, an Amîr of the court of Gulkundah (not found in the preceding copy), on fol. 107a, beginning: يولچى همه وقت بادۀ عنّابى نيست الخ.

XIII. Ishâratiyyah (اشارتيّه), ‘insinuation,’ likewise addressed to Yûlćîkhân, here distinctly called Tabrizi (not found in Rieu or the preceding copy), on fol. 111a, beginning: چون رعايت مضمون كلّمو النّاس على قدر عقولهم لازم است الخ.

XIV.مجمع الغرائب, on fol. 114a (VIII in the preceding copy), beginning: marginal emendation نويسد)چه نويسم از وسعت الخ .

XV.تحقيقات, on fol. 118a (XI in the preceding copy).

XVI.تذكرة الاحبّا, on fol. 122a (XXIV in the preceding copy).

XVIII. Another رقعه or letter, on fol.129b, beginning:

بشنو جواب رقعۀ ايلچئ پادشاه

در وصف هون وباقئ اسباب نزد گاه

(corresponding to fol. 387a, l. 16 in the preceding copy).

This copy, a very modern one, is dated A.H. 1264, Samvat 1904 (=A.D. 1848), by Faḳîr Nadhar Muḥammad تلونديه (see the colophon at the end and fol. 126a), and was sent to the Imperial Exhibition at Paris for works of art and industry by the Punjab Committee at Lahore. It was received into the Library from Dr. Royle, July, 1856.

No.3224, ff. 151, ll. 11; splendid, large and distinct Nasta’lîḳ; beautifully illuminated frontispieces at the beginning of each of the eighteen treatises; every page besides is framed with stripes of various colours and embellished with small ornaments between the lines; size, 15 in. by 87/8 in.
