Google Drive Project

This paper presents the design, development, and evaluation of a structured Google Drive–based file management system aimed at improving cloud storage organization, collaboration, and accessibility in an academic environment. The study addresses common challenges such as unorganized folders, file duplication, inconsistent sharing permissions, and difficulty in retrieving updated documents. The proposed system utilizes Google Drive APIs to automate folder structures, manage access control, and support version tracking and real-time collaboration. A mixed-method research approach was adopted, combining system prototype development with user evaluation. Data were collected through questionnaires, usability testing, observations, and interviews involving students and faculty members. The results indicate significant improvements in task completion time, file retrieval efficiency, and overall user satisfaction compared to traditional file-sharing methods. The findings demonstrate that a standardized and automated cloud storage approach can enhance academic workflows. This research provides a practical and scalable model for implementing efficient cloud-based file management systems in educational institutions.
