Managing salmon for wildlife: do fisheries limit salmon consumption by bears in small Alaskan streams?

Data collected from four small streams in Bristol Bay, Alaska by carcass survey. Annual biomass (kg) of sockeye salmon consumed by bears, annual biomass (kg) of sockeye salmon available, average percentage of biomass eaten per salmon, and an estimate of the annual number of bears foraging at that site (generated from genetic capture-mark-recapture data) is included.
