资源简介:
This dataset includes a number of datasets collected to assess the potential effects of GPS telemetry collars on free-roaming feral equid species in North America: horses and burros. The behavior dataset (Behavioral_data_collared_uncollared.csv) includes frequency of maintenance behaviors of collared and un-collared horses at Conger Herd Management Area (HMA), and burros at Lake Pleasant and Sinbad Herd Management Areas (HMAs). The dataset also includes data on collar effects to fur and superficial effects observed, showing the count of fur effects (i.e., sweaty neck, indented fur, broken fur) and superficial effects (chafe, wound, or scab) on horses and burros over the time that they wore a collar (Collar_fur_and_superficial_effects_over_time.csv). Data on physical effects of collars (Equid_collar_effects_data_2016_2020.csv) provides each observation of a horse or burro to record any effects seen. Foal survival data (Horse_burro_foal_survival_collared_uncollared_mother.csv) provides survival of foals to 12 months (or to the end of the study) of collared and un-collared horse and burro mothers. There is data on the success of remote drop off and timed release drop off mechanisms (Collar_remote_release_success_data.csv) that provides counts related to when collars were deployed and when they were dropped or attempted to be dropped from the horse or burro. Collar drop success data shows the number of failed and successful attempts to remove a radio collar after a specified number of months of deployment (Collar_drop_success_at_months_deployed.csv).
