Genome sequencing of Talinum fruticosum

Talinum fruticosum can facultatively turn on crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM) in response to stress, such as drought, in a reversible manner. Such metabolic plasticity makes it a great system to study the CAM pathway and its regulation. Whole-genome sequencing was performed using Nanopore and paired-end Illumina reads. Isoform sequencing (Iso-Seq, Pacific Biosciences) was used to generate a collection of full-length transcripts to support gene model prediction.
