Dataset of 53 5th-grade Cypriot students (intervention for UVR protection using IoT)

The dataset comes from a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test control group study with 53 5th-grade students (33 in the experimental group and 20 in the control group). Data sources included a content knowledge test on UVR and protection measures and the validated questionnaire “Sun Exposure and Protection Index” (SEPI) which were administered pre and post. The intervention implemented a data-driven approach using IoT, a gamified platform, and a social mission to influence primary school children’s sun-related knowledge, habits, and behaviors.
