Equine Pastern Dermatitis (EPD) is a common problem in equine medicine. Bacteria are thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of this syndrome. Next Generation Sequencing of 32 samples collected from 16 horses with macroscopically normal pastern skin and/or pastern skin affected by equine pastern dermatitis (EPD) was performed.
