2022 NSF CIVIC Innovation Challenge GIS-Based Digital Platform for Promoting Sustainable, Equitable, and Resilient Access to Healthy Foods in Response to Natural Disasters

Living in a changing climate, it becomes a major challenge to guarantee food security and food equity. Our goal is to develop a GIS-based decentralized digital platform that improves healthy foods access during natural disasters, particularly for the vulnerable community. This is a valid new alternative to existing solutions, e.g., food bank, which depend on centralized-yet-fragile food supply chain.
