NM_000295 SERPINA1 5'-UTR and initial coding sequence

We analyzed RNA structure across the 5'-UTR and initial coding sequence of the SERPINA1 isoform, NM_000295 in the endogenous gene and a reporter plasmid, containing this cloned region. We also analyzed RNA structure across a series of 42 mutant plasmids, in which a structure-destabilizing substitution, a UUAUUA sequence, was tiled across every nucleotide in the 5'-UTR sequence.
