Survey of the viral and cellular abundance in ice-covered lakes of Northern Ellesmere Island

The larger study from which this data is taken aims at obtaining an insight into the largely undescribed microbial fraction of the plankton found in High Arctic lakes, focusing mainly on viruses. The full study will also describe viral diversity and dynamics through molecular-based approaches. The current data available allows an approximate of viral and microbial abundance in surface and depth of three northern lakes by flow cytometry.
