Leading app categories worldwide Q3 2020, by reach

During the third quarter of 2020, chat and messengers apps recorded the highest user reach in all the examined categories, with close to 91 percent of internet users worldwide using this type of apps. Social network apps followed, with 88.5 percent reach. Entertainment and video apps ranked third, with 67 percent of the surveyed users reporting using apps in this category monthly.
