资源简介:
This project describes the Whole Genome sequencing of Staphylococcus warneri strain ABSKSKLAB05, a bacterium isolated from rhizosphere soil collected from agricultural fields in Telangana, India. Preliminary screening indicated that the isolate exhibits antimicrobial activity against several bacterial indicator strains, suggesting its potential to produce bioactive secondary metabolites. In addition to antibacterial activity, the strain is being investigated for its potential to produce bioactive compounds with possible anticancer properties. To explore its genetic potential and biosynthetic capabilities, hybrid whole genome sequencing was performed using Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing and PacBio Onso short-read sequencing technologies. The generated sequencing data will support hybrid genome assembly and genome mining analyses to identify biosynthetic gene clusters associated with antimicrobial and other therapeutically relevant natural products. These genomic insights may contribute to the discovery of novel bioactive compounds with potential applications in biotechnology, medicine, and drug discovery.Authors:Anushka Bhardwaj (Department of Bioinformatics, Alagappa University, Karaikudi 630003, Tamil Nadu, India)Dr. Anuraj Nayarisseri (In Silico Research Laboratory, Eminent Biosciences, Indore 452010, Madhya Pradesh, India)Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Singh (Department of Bioinformatics, Alagappa University, Karaikudi 630003, Tamil Nadu, India)
