Results of stability analysis of lunar lava tubes for various conditions and irregular shapes

Dataset Description ## Dataset Origin The basic data included in this repository were generated in article "Chwała, M., & Górniak, K. (2025). Probabilistic characterization of lunar lava tube collapses: Implications for reliability-based design, safety, and exploration. Geoscience Frontiers, 16(4), 102076", whose preparation was based on the research project no. 2023/51/D/ST10/01956, financed by the National Science Center, Poland. ## Dataset Structure For each analyzed case involving: * a homogeneous rock roof (scenarios 1–37), and* a layered rock roof (scenarios 101–110), the database contains three text files. File names begin with the case number according to the table provided in *Supplementary Material A1a*. ## File Types The dataset includes the following file categories: * Files containing “Duze D” in the filename → lava tube widths * Files containing “gravity multipliers” in the filename → gravity multipliers * Files containing “noweS” in the filename → geometric characteristics of collapses ## File Format Each text file related to geometric characteristics of collapses contains six columns. According to Figure 3 in the referenced paper, the columns represent (from left to right): 1. `d`2. `h`3. maximum vertical coordinate of collapse4. vertical coordinate of surface5. `s`6. `A` Each file has 500 rows, which represent 500 Monte Carlo realizations.
