Three-way collocated directional wave spectra: CFOSAT/SWIM, in situ buoys (NDBC and Sofar Spotter), and the MFWAM model
收藏资源简介:
Three-way collocations of CFOSAT/SWIM L2P BOX directional wave spectra with in situ buoy spectra and the Météo-France MFWAM global wave analysis, for the period 2020-12-08 to 2022-03-14. An encounter is one CFOSAT track-swath crossing one buoy; observations within an encounter are averaged to a single record. Two files are provided: - aggregated_ndbc_dataset.nc: collocations with NDBC moored buoys (NOAA), 3,021 encounters. Complete, with all buoy variables included.- aggregated_spotter_dataset_public.nc: collocations with Sofar Spotter drifting buoys, 39,233 encounters. The Sofar-derived buoy spectra and bulk parameters are withheld under the Sofar Data Access Agreement; a provenance group (encounter_id, spotter_index) maps each encounter to the rows of the public Sofar archive so that authorised users can re-pair them. Both files are grouped netCDF with cfosat, mfwam, buoy and collocation groups sharing a 'triplet' dimension (one record per encounter).
