Knowledge of a planetary surface’s topography is necessary to understand its geology and enable landed mission operations. The Solid State Imager (SSI) on board NASA’s Galileo spacecraft acquired more than 700 images of Jupiter’s moon Europa. Although moderate- and high-resolution coverage is extremely limited, repeat coverage of a small number of sites enables the creation of digital terrain models (DTMs) via stereophotogrammetry.
